Use a Koopa shell to bust the bricks and open the pathway to the star coin.Ĭoin 3: This star coin is near the end of the level, between two falling panels. World 5-3Ĭoin 1: This coin is out of reach, so you will either have to bounce on the enemies to get it, or use a Penguin Suit or an Ice Flower to freeze the enemies and use them as stairs to get to the coin.Ĭoin 2: Shortly after the check point, you will see the star coin in an area blocked off by bricks. Jump onto that land and run to the right so you can take the pipe. Stand to the right of the coin until you see a “Wiggler.” Now you can jump on it and reach the coin.Ĭoin 3: Toward the end of the underground area, jump off the Wiggler when you see the three bats. At the bottom tier, you can walk to the left to find a hidden POW that will bring the coin down to where you can reach it.Ĭoin 2: The coin appears to be out of reach, underground. World 5-2Ĭoin 1: The first coin is too high for you to reach, but you will see a three tiered area of land. Use the vine to swing into the wall, and use the POW in the shell to get the coin to drop down. You will now be behind it so you can grab the coin inside the shell.Ĭoin 3: Toward the end of the level, you will see a green pipe on the ground, with a green shell in the wall. Drop down into the water at the right of the shell and swim into it. Hip slam to push it down, and grab the coin inside the green shell.Ĭoin 2: You will see another large green shell. World 5-1Ĭoin 1: Look for the brown spot of land near the giant green shell under the item changing block. When you collect all the star coins in World 5, you will unlock World 9, Level 5. If you die or do not complete the level, you will lose credit for the star coins you have collected.
